Raffle hunts
« on: February 14, 2023, 03:14:56 PM »
Anyone on here been fortunate or lucky enough to win one of those big game hunts? I know I have kicked in some money (not a lot grant you) at a chance to win a hunt but haven't been successful. Been getting lots of emails, letters and asking if I want to purchase a super tag ticket lately. The value of some of these stone sheep(60k), Nevada elk 22k), Utah deer(22k) just have me wondering about the validity of the prices.

Start reading the fine print on them. Washington state classifies it as online gambling so a lot of these raffle are void to Washington residents.

You can buy Idaho super hunt tickets at the Portland Sportsman show if you are attending. Idaho F&G has a booth there. I have never seen any other state booths though.

As long as it’s Through a State game agency raffle are legal. It’s the ones the hunting fool, Epic , and other foundations promote.

I've won and collected a couple of gun calendar prizes over the last couple of years based in other states and also won through Huntin Fool, collecting all prizes without any issues. I also won a cash prize from Arizona through their state hunting draws a couple years ago and the following year they changed the rules where WA residents can no longer partake in their raffle drawings due to our states bs anti online gambling laws.

WA only wants you to gamble on this states legalized gambling operations that go to fund our politicians deep pockets. No reason other than greed and I'm sure they would allow these online "gambling" opportunities if they could figure out how to squeeze a penny or two out of it for the politicians in Olympia.  :twocents:

I don't think they can regulate WA residents if you buy them in person as I believe it only applies to internet sales. Same thing with like the ID super tags. If you buy them from a dealer then you're good to go, but not if you buy them online.

So what your saying is the $200 i spent last year on Super Tags thru IDFG website would of been invalid if my # struck gold? If so, what a bunch of B.S.

Thanks for the info on this!

Would be interesting to know for sure. I wonder if orgs like Hunting Fool, Epic Outdoors, etc would let you know

just another thing to make me shake my head on WA. if you do it thru the man ok, otherwise no.. yet you can scalp tickets all day for events and make money.. WA is doomed with the management team that get voted in@!

just one more reason.... right up there with a 5 day salmon season teaser...
