Deck Boots
« on: October 01, 2023, 07:55:09 PM »
Looking for a good pair of waterproof slip on boots like the 6" Xtratufs. For work occasionally, ski slope parking lots, camp shoes and boat shoes. Was going to buy those but the reviews of them lately on their own website are horrible. 70% are saying the quality has gone to crap, several with pics to back it up.

Are the Huks or Grundens any better quality wise? Any other recommendations?

One of these days I’m going to buy a pair of the Simms version.

Definitely fewer negative reviews on those. But still several claiming the same issues as the Xtratufs and grundens with rubber splitting and soles delaminating.

A few colors on sale as well right now though, might be worth a try.

I wear the dry shod deck boots.  They're way more comfortable then the Xtra tuff deck boots.

EVERYBODY here in Alaska wears deck boots. The xtratuffs have gone to crap. My last pair didn’t last 6 months before they cracked and started letting water in. Grundens are good and I hear good things about the Huk. Grundens for me from here on out. My full length xtra tuffs have held up fine for a couple years though.

Got a pair of Gator Waders off camofire, Had them about a year now, very comfortable. Even got the wife a pair and she loves them. By the way, they are on camofire today.
