2023 Special draw
« on: March 25, 2023, 10:25:51 AM »
The time has come for another year of Washington hunting. How does everyone feel about things this year?
We have had a very wet and snow filled winter that could be helping our herds and deer populations, Predators will always be a problem until WDFW implements predator control based on populations.

Not holding my breath on any draws, WA or out of state.

I am done with this state.
Even with 20 plus points for Bull elk, cow elk, moose and sheep I am done.

You can have my points too.  I'll check to see if there is a youth tag that works with our schedule for my son, but that's all for our family.

Honestly, I'll probably think twice about waterfowl, might not buy anything hunting at all.

WA draws are like taxes for me, pay a lot and rarely get anything back!

They won’t do you any good!  Maybe increase your odds to .00001% instead of .000001%.

Not only has the quality of this states hunting has went into the toilet 🚽 but the quotas have been reduced so low that it just isn’t worth it any more. Take your money and buy different state raffle tickets and you probably have better odds of getting a tag!!

Had a great quality elk hunt last year which at my age, will most likely be my last….
I have drawn 2 quality tags in 27 years, but they weren’t the hardest to draw, and I had a blast on both hunts.

I have always considered drawing a premium tag a huge bonus, and never went into serious depression not drawing, except maybe for sheep  :yike:

My joy in hunting is spending time in the woods with my close friends.  Any animal is harvested is a bonus
