These are cool.  My 10 year old and I are taking a trip to MT this summer, 1/3 fishing, 1/3 scouting for my deer hunt, 1/3 Yellowstone.  He has been motivated by the pics on this site to make our trip a photo-safari too.  When he gets back from baseball practice I'll have to show him these.

What an awesome trip to take with your son!  Where are you planning to fish?  And where's your deer area?

He looks like Lon Chaney in the second shot.

I have a buddy in the Ennis area, so we'll probably fish with him for a day, then hit the Park and fish Le Hardy Rapids for a day.  I am still narrowing down my areas to hunt deer.  I drew the A Tag, so it is for pretty much the whole state.  I put in for a couple of special draw areas, but have about a bazillion-to-one chance of being drawn (Units 270 and 261).  I think I have it narrowed down to either southeast MT, or central MT during the rut.  Still making lists, doing pros/cons, and reading everything I can get my hands on.  If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them.
The scouting trip will probably cement my final decision.
By the way, I showed the bear pics to my son.  He was mightily impressed!
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
