Turkey camp 23'
« on: April 08, 2023, 01:21:35 PM »
After getting an invite last year by a good friend and his son for me and my son  to go turkey hunting we were back at it again this year. My son didn't get one last year but it created a fire inside him that and that's all he's talked about for the last 365 days is getting a turkey. Weather didn't cooperate this year and there was snow everywhere, crunchy loud snow in most of the places we found turkeys last year. Time to switch it up, we were able to get access to a little piece of private and after a whole day of playing cat and mouse we caught them coming back to the roost tree! Doubled up on 2 nice toms. My boys first!  He's on the left.

His buddy filled his second tag the next day and my boy filled his second on the last morning on the way out. We decided to hit one hot spot one last time and after 20min of a gobblefest his 2nd tag is notched. 2 kids hooked on bunting, can't wait for idaho to chase ruttin whitetails in Nov with him!

Way to go boys!
