Are my stripped lowers now useless?
« on: April 15, 2023, 12:57:26 PM »
I recently purchased two stripped lowers thinking that was the way to go. With this bill passing, are they now useless in Washington state? Will I no longer be able to buy the uppers or other parts to build them?

Thanks for the help and guidance.

I have no guidance other than by the rest of your parts as soon as you can. One thing I don't understand is how they can try to regulate uppers and hand guards and other pieces that are not serialized like the lowers. You can't build a complete scary rifle if you don't have a lower but you can swap out worn out parts for the lowers you already have.

You need to buy your parts before the governor signs the bill.
I don’t think it has passed yet. They are tossing it around in the house and the senate. I think it will pass. Better get your parts next week to be safe.

I think the answer is maybe.. no one really knows for sure yet but most likely you will still be able to buy all the parts you need. Or just drive out of state of course and buy them over the counter.

The Governor will likely hold a big press conference when he signs the bill, but you can watch the status of the bill here:

Washington Gun law believes the governor will sign on the 20th with is the anniversary of the columbine shooting.

Yup..... useless!

I'll take um off your hands.  :chuckle:

You still have a little time to get parts kits and uppers..... not much though. Palmetto stopped selling anything that's serialized to Washington but you can still get the uppers and build kits.
