Blacktail deer size
« on: April 19, 2023, 08:07:54 AM »
Was going through some old photos from seasons past. These pictures were taken on a bear trip on august 31st. This buck was in a bachelor group of 5, he was the biggest.

The question is what would a blacktail of this size score. Never understood the whole scoring thing. This is the largest BT I've seen in person.

I would guess in the 115 to 120 range depending on body size. If that's a 150 pound buck then less, if a 300 pound buck then more. Great buck no matter what.

It's harder to pick a score when their in velvet but i would say 100-110.
