New pack identified in the Methow Valley
« on: April 23, 2023, 07:06:42 PM »
https://methowvalleynews.com/2023/04/19/states-wolf-population-grew-only-slightly-in-2022/

The newly identified Chewuch pack, documented by trail cameras and tracking, has territory in the upper Chewuch River watershed, said Scott Fitkin, a WDFW wildlife biologist based in the Methow Valley. The pack is estimated to have 10 members, “which suggests they have been there for more than a year,” he said.

Locals are calling this "new pack" the Rendezvous pack and they already have collars.

They’ve been there for a decade.  They used to call them “the lookout pack”. Lol.  Mobile little buggers. Could be in three places at once.   Stupid

Does anyone really believe anything that WDF&Wolves say anymore?

Nope, not at all. They don’t even believe themselves as they feed us a bunch of cow pies.

That pack has been around for 5+ years of 10 or more. We have trail cam pics of wolves there since 2010 on a regular basis. Referred to as Lookout and Loop packs before.

!0 members, still a lot of mouths to feed. It just seems all of WDFW is giddy about the wolves, turns my stomach. Cant believe a word out of Fitkin's mouth

Heck, my dad, another pard and myself had a stare down with one standing in the middle of an old skid road up in that turf back in the 90,s. We reported it and was told “there’s no wolves in the valley”.

:yeah: The herd just continues to take a beating but keep coddling wolves, cougars and bears so all the out of state implants can enjoy themselves from their million dollar spreads. Must be enjoyable for them to witness these killers “thin the herd of the sick” while also watching them decimate healthy fawns. Your right bone, the whole deal is sickening! :bash: :bash:
