big old dead head

wish I could have found his sheds or even better walking on all 4s but this would have been an absolute stud of a blacktail. wonder what he would have scored. 5x4 with eyeguards

Awesome find!!!! Did you find it in the SW part of the state? Looks like it could possibly be a Columbian Whitetail buck.

It could potentially be Columbian whitetail but it was a long way from the Columbia river. North east Westside of Sw wa :chuckle:

Is the skull broke? They look way too narrow, no way you left that in the woods, but good to say you didn’t!  Game warden wouldn’t care about something that old

The skull was completely rotted out both sides were about 20 yards apart one had more skull attached but when I picked it up out of the moss it crumbled

What do you mean the game warden wouldn’t care? He obviously shot that 4 years ago and has now returned to retrieve his trophy.  :bash: :bash: Dumbest rule WDFW has on the books  :twocents: I can’t imagine how any animals survive in Idaho without this pointless rule to save them.
