According to the article:

“Information provided by tracking collars on mule deer wintering in the area shows that adult deer were not highly impacted by winter conditions.”

We were fishing at Lake Pearrygin a couple of weeks ago, and ran into a game warden there.  He told us that in his opinion this last winter was one of the worst he has seen in terms of mule deer winter kill in the Methow.

Have fun with that bio ,Brock Hoenes.
Deer would have to be extinct and on the endangered species list before they get help.

Based on the topics to be presented at the meeting it sounds like their minds are already made up.

And the help they would get would be closing public lands, not predator control or winter feeding stations like the past.

No he would close or shorten deer season.
Seen him suggest it before ,and make it permit only.
Brock and I don't always see eye to eye.
I don't wanna put him down unless he is on the huntwa site to defend himself.
But will say .......
I find it freaking hilarious and ironic what happens to him in ferry county. After he made damm sure ,we didn't get 4pt min in stevens county.
Yet our deer harvest numbers are at an all time low,and still trending downward to this day.

Good luck with him in your county. :chuckle: :chuckle:
