I will admit my bias here, I have a Kowa, but I have had a couple people with swaros sit side by side with me and say if they could go back in time they would buy the Kowa over the swaro.  The two main reasons are the price, (they also have had a $400 rebate in the past) and the fine focus knob.  The Kowa focus knob is so much better than the swaro.
