I’m optimistic for my wife and daughter who have more points than I thought. I unfortunately drew 5 specials last year and had an Idaho tag.

5 how just how please tell all too  the peasants who can’t even draw one

Wow, I thought I was the luckiest guy in the world when I won a block of cheese on that Tillamook claw game, but you might have me beat.

I have done well over the years drawing special permits.   Part of the reason is I put in for hunts that have lousy draw odds, but still offer a quality hunt experience.   I am left with only one species, any ram tag, with 28 points.  The odds are not in my favor at less than .05 chance of drawing, but knowing it’s still possible makes it exciting every year
If you draw that tag, I’ll push you around in the wheel chair!!

I’ll hold you to that promise :chuckle:

I used to get really excited for draws here and would watch all the threads here about when the draw was being run like an addict. Over the last few years, I have moved into the more "be cool if I draw but don't expect to mindset". I plan all my other hunts for the year without any consideration for drawing Washington tags but know that if I did and it conflicted with another hunt, I would figure something out.

Never said I don't day dream, just saying that I have tempered my expectations over the years so that the not selected doesn't phase me.  :chuckle:

I think the results had been out well over a month last year before I even looked.   Everybody kept asking me, and I was like I dont know.

I teach high school and you would not believe the ratio of students to adults that draw quality and OIL tags.  I have heard a theory on this that may or not be correct, but anecdotally, I know that the percentage of kids that get hard to draw tags is higher than adults.  And I'm not talking about youth tags, I mean Quality Deer, Quality Elk, OIL....
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I believe it.
Wish my kid would draw something.
He just lost his youth points ,since he is not a youth any more.

I believe I also think some people are just more liked by there system cause some people draw something every year or Everett 2 or 3 I don’t whT it is age , name , I don’t know but im sure there is something

My brother drew cowiche rifle rut tag with one point he said “ I guess I  living life right “ I still laugh about it today and he no longer puts in as he also says I’m in the 300 club   Already so not worth he’s a character

Oregon drew the seed numbers for their drawing today, so there's no use in my staying positive about my chances of drawing bighorn or pronghorn. That ship has sailed. Since I put in for my first bighorn tag at the age of 15, and I'm now 70, it's not about "staying positive", it's more about trying to maintain a slight glimmer of hope. Oh well, maybe next year....
