RIP Bruce "Bubba" Schwartz
« on: May 30, 2023, 12:40:23 PM »
Legendary Oly Pen, Cowlitz, and Kenai fishing guide Bruce "Bubba" Schwartz passed away yesterday from a massive heart attack. Bruce spent most of his life in the Renton area with a stop off in Vietnam where he was a helicopter gunner.

Hunting and fishing was his life.

RIP Bubba.

Been friends with Bruce since the late 60’s, he was a good friend of our dads. Spent lots of days in the boat with Bruce on the Cowlitz. He would limit out his clients on steelhead and then grab either me or my brother from our sled and finish the day fishing for the table.  His mom, worked with our stepmom too. Bruce, was a legend on the rivers he fished. RIP Bruce you will be missed by a lot of good people.
