Bowfishing guide recommendations
« on: December 31, 2022, 01:57:38 PM »
Any recommendations for an area in WA and guide for some  carp bowfishing. My son graduates high school this year and looking to do a little senior trip with him in late June/early July.  (also planning to do a guided coyote hunt and some other fishing)

Or set up a couple bows for bowfishing and hit the potholes. That is what I did when I started. There are videos on the U of Tubes as well.
My first bowfishing bow was 25 lbs. You need to get pretty close for that poundage. Went up to 40-50 on the next one and stayed there.
Went through the different reels and stayed with a retriever reel and chistle point slider arrows.
Remember to aim low. No, lower.
One of you shoot an arrow out a ways and reel it in. They will follow. Careful! It gets to be addictive. Carp smoke up good if you want to try eating some.
Good times!
Cuterebra are NOT cute!
