Its SAD, were doomed..   Plant more fish and kill more predator's.. pretty easy solution really, but after reading that were doomed.  Climate change was said several times just a bunch of key democrat words were used.. were doomed. so sad. Ecosystem..

Once they close hunting and fishing we have to start identifying as "wolfs" and "sealions" ,  Who wants to go moose hunting? you cant do that, yes i can i am a wolf..  Lets go steelhead and springer fishing, you cant do that, yes i can i am sealion...  Boom.... problem solved boys...   we can hunt and fish anytime we want soon as this goes through....  :IBCOOL:  We will have to start our own wolf packs and sealion pods

Not to be overlooked… the commission has already successfully reduce permit levels despite SCIENCE showing populations have not declined to the levels needed to justify the cuts.

My only conclusion is they know they are taking away hunting opportunities by reducing permit levels and with little impact to revenue because the license has to be purchased (quality elk being the biggest example).

I guarantee they're eventually going to go with "science" that says there are no excess deer and elk for us to harvest, because they are a major part of the wolves, bears, and cougar's diet.

 :yeah:
And can't hike the mountains because that will disrupt the Grizzly Bears too!

Or pick a huckleberry, as that will be one less for a bear to eat.  I really wouldn't be surprised if it went that far at some point.

I know the deck is stacked against us, but I will still be sending an email.

If you all remember, the initial 25 year draft plan initially made it forbidden to walk anywhere outside of an established trail or road or camp anywhere on WDFW lands that wasn't specifically designated as a camping area.  Then we pointed out that mushroom picking does not occur on the trail nor does berry picking or antler gathering and how are they going to reconcile those activities?  They struck that information, but, as everyone has pointed out here... the devil will be in the details.  Every typo and use of a special word in their formal plan really does mean something here and needs to be vetted.  This is big.
Introduce someone new to hunting this year.

Nope they will just continue to reduce seasons and permits. The State makes way to much money to end this cash cow.

The state could really care less about the revenue generated from hunting and fishing licenses and special permits and already are looking to replace the revenue stream with something else.

:yeah:

They will start asking for permits for mushroom picking, walking your dog on public land, salmon watching, beaver petting etc

The day they try and end hunting in this state is the day I become a non law abiding citizen
Yep. I’ll continue to fight the good fight against them will all I have. However, I’ve been rifle hunting deer the 2nd weekend in October since I was 8 years old and I plan on continuing hunting deer the 2nd weekend in October until I can’t hike anymore.

I won't pay to pet a beaver but I certainly will to watch someone try to pet one!  :chuckle:

This state will squeeze money out of anything and everything. From WDFW revenue from hunting and fishing license was 57 million in addition to the states revenue federal excise tax on hunting equipment generated 8.3 million and sales of fishing gear brought in another 21 million.

it’s already that way with bull permits.  They only offer enough to keep us buying permits going for that one in a million chance we draw something.  And it’s only getting worse
