This is what happens to everything that is run by people who don’t know what they are doing.

Wasn’t there a movement a few years ago to split the state in two, right down the Cascades? That would have really came in handy about now if it had made it through.

 :yeah:
These people care nothing about conservation. They care about control and they're exercising it every chance they get.

Well atleast they tried something, but this topic will fade into the back pages once the expected responses run their course.

Definity a significant shift in philosophy and not a good one for hunters at all.

 :yeah:

Here is one of the topics they will be discussing at their meeting,

The War on Apex Predators: Lemonade-and-Learn with Washington Wildlife First and the Mountain Lion Foundation @ West Seattle Public Library

Time: 6:00-7:30 p.m. We will host a discussion during the first hour and stay for additional questions.

Place: West Seattle Meeting Room, West Seattle Branch of Seattle Public Library, 2306 42nd Ave. SW, Seattle.

Details: Come learn about how you can help stop Washington’s war on apex predators. Did you know the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife facilitates the killing of about 300 cougars a year, out of a population of only about 2,300? That it enacted new rules increasing the number of bears killed each year by 50%, even as its own biologists warned our bears are “especially sensitive to over-exploitation”? Or that it allows year-round killing of coyotes with no “bag” limits and few restrictions, a policy only 16% of Washingtonians support? Join Washington Wildlife First and the Mountain Lion Foundation to learn how you can help stop Washington’s war on apex predators. Lemonade and light snacks provided.

The only way to put a stop to the insanity is to vote in a conservative for governor!  :twocents:

If I was an enforcement guy I'd have to realize that my job description was eventually going to that of a park ranger/ camp host ..
So, to save my job I would find it necessary to track and trap every collared cougar and wolf in the State, take every problem bear...and release them right in the middle of the most populace/ liberal tree hugging area's in the greater 206...

You want apex predator protection....here you go...enjoy...

I agree!
Politicians like Jay Inslee are the reason we have the 2nd Amendment

https://wdfw.wa.gov/about/commission/meetings/public-testimony
You can register to speak virtually during the public comment period for the draft policy . For those who cant burn a day traveling to seattle, the virtual testimony is a good option.

https://www.howlforwildlife.org/wdfw-dcpcomment?utm_campaign=wdfw_conservation_draft&utm_medium=email&utm_source=howlforwildlife
Howl.org also has a fill form to send a comment to the commission.

Everybody should at the very least take 2 min to send out a pre-formatted letter. Even better if you can speak at the meeting. The commission is making insane decisions based on feelings, we should be taking every opportunity to make them feel outnumbered by Washingtonians who think they are wrong.
What country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon & pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants.

That's what I'm talking about.
Here it's snack time.
These wildlife.org people treat the commission like it's kindergarten, and the commission laps it up like an old dog and does whatever they want.

We all need to fight this insanity, there is still time to put comments.  Please everyone do so.

Glad to see Native Americans joining the fight!
