BBQ Flats On Horseback
« on: June 14, 2023, 10:43:36 AM »
I was thinking of taking my horses to BBQ Flats in the Wenas and was wondering is there a lot of ORV usage that way?  I haven't found a whole lot of info on it.  I don't really want to be mixing in with bikes, etc.....

There can be but typically they are riding other areas.
You have a considerable amount of area you can ride with zero conflict.

I might be wrong on this but I believe the campground is segregated as well.

It can be. We camped at the campground oct 2021. Had some guys unload their sxs at 4:30am and come back 11:30pm that was obnoxious. But most will just pass through, no one really stays in that area. There’s tons of trails that are friendly for horses but will eventually cross paths out there.

Might have better luck at ahtanum campgrounds

Can they ride off-road at Ahtanum?  It's been years since I have been to Ahtanum.  Looking for a nice place to take a young colt in the woods for the first time.
