Yes congrats!!!  I can remember the thrill of drawing an OIL tag here in 2008 and 2010. Let's hear from all those who drew, you could have amazing hunts this fall with putting in the work and scouting ahead of time.

My brother drew Goat Rocks East. I’ll be sure to share pictures and a report when it’s all done. He’s excited & in disbelief still.

In this state every moose and sheep tag is an oil to me.

I was pretty happy with the draw results before they took the lunch break yesterday. I really enjoy the Whidbey second doe tag and it seems like these last few years it is no longer a guarantee. The feeling of packing a shotgun through tight brush and passing on bucks while hoping nobody shoots at you is an intense feeling after chasing alpine mule deer. Top it off with my first ever “bull elk” tag and I was set for the season.

Like everyone else of rational mind I knew my 19 points didn’t really mean much for OIL tags and my choices for “quality tags” were similar. I would like to thank the WDFW for their hard work on the draws this year. You have proven yourself to run a wonderful program and after putting in a fair amount of effort on both of our ends, rewarded my loyalty to the draw system.
