I have a bull tag.  Considering it was 18 pts, oil isnt just moose/sheep/goat anymore.

Congratulations!! Thats the only sheep tag I try for. It would be unreal to know the feeling of having that tag. Please let us follow you on the hunt! Good luck. If you dont have one, secure a reliable ATV...you'll need one!!
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

I had the Quilomene Ram tag in 2008. My advice is make the most out of it you can because if you are like most of us it will be the only sheep hunt you will ever go on. I spent countless days scouting it and many more days hunting off the 4 wheeler and getting to the ridges then hiking down towards the river to look for the sheep. There was not a single day that I didn’t find sheep. Also met a great guy who lived across the river over near Crescent Bar and he could see a lot of the area from his back deck and absolutely loved looking for sheep. We talked every day while I was hunting and shared what we were seeing (he was also my first phone call when I had my ram down). When I finally decided I was ready to notch a tag, I hauled my boat down there and found one I liked and the rest is history. Is a fairly simple hunt from the boat but there was no way I wanted it over in 1 day!

That's great information we plan on going over a few times before the hunt I don't want it to be over to soon either. We hunted deer there before and remember how rough the roads were.

If you have access to a side by side or a couple of 4 wheelers it’s definitely the way to go. Can cover a lot more ground!

And if you have a boat, there is a public launch at Crescent bar. Just cross the river and head towards Vantage and spend time glassing the bluffs. Or I was also able to spot sheep by driving down towards Sun land estates and glassing across the river

We went scouting and saw some nice sheep on the old Malaga road but they were on private land. Next trip we are going to try glassing from the boat
