Had the tag last year! Had a couple buddies with high points put in for it this year but nobody got selected. Feel free to PM specific questions you might have. The unit is amazing and one of my favorites due to scenary and vast array of wildlife. Can do a true backcountry hunt or a down low timber land hunt. I went up high and about as deep as you could get. 6 mile round trip with 2000 vertical x 3 to get my bull out last year over 24 hours. Man I wish I could go back!

I'd be of no use if you're looking down low but if you want to be up with the goats and get after it, let me know.

Didn't get a true in field pic as I was by myself when I got it and it ended up halfway down a steep slope and was a little warm so I rushed to get it cut up and hanging over a river. Luckily had some help later on and meat was in great shape.

This year will be a little tougher with the later dates. I heard the rutting and calling died down a lot after the first couple days last year, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. They'll still be active and running around and at a minimum making noise at night to location them.

Absolute rut fest 9/24 to 9/25 last year.

so you got my tag, scared to ask how many points you had, I had 28.  Great tag, smaller bulls will be an easy target, bigger bulls are possible for sure.  The later season hurts a little bit but still will be a great hunt.  The bulls really start dropping off quickly after Oct 5 ish, my wife had that tag the first year they had the hunt.
“In common with”..... not so much!!

Does anyone know how many points Trophyhunt had this year??  I think he may have mentioned it somewhere.

My friend told me he heard something about 8 or 18. Can’t remember. Maybe check hunt wa. I heard he mentioned it there once this spring.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
