Fog, rain, then wind were rough Monday. Wind blew about as hard as I've ever seen a sustained wind yesterday morning. Appears that the weather should be good today! I bet Sled gets on some deer after a couple of tough weather days. Hoping the wind may have made the roads less slick. Bucks are with about every group of doe.
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

Weather sure isn’t helping you, at least maybe it isn’t foggy.   Any luck Sled?

Bucks are rutting hard. Hopefully today is a good day for you.

Unfortunately before the season started I lost my job.  The third day in I received an email for an interview that I would need to come home for early from the hunt.  Go figure an oil tag damn near you plan for all your life and a wrench gets thrown into the works to screw it up.  That’s just life.  I took a buck I’m more than happy with!

Can’t wait to see pics.  My last quality buck tag was the same way…..took a new job and had to cut a 10 day hunt in half.   Such is life…..hope you still had a good hunt.

Did I miss the pic of your buck Sled? Once again, congrats, that is a tough way to start out the hunt. Hope you landed the new job!
