Anyone every fished with Cary? A buddy from out of town was thinking about flying out to fish with him, hoping to get some reviews not on fishing booker.

Yes, good guy, good outfit. He'll get you on whatever fish you're after.

Carey is one heck of a guy and flat out busts his rear to put you on the fish. I would tell your buddy to relax and enjoy as he'll be in good hands.

Fish on!!!

Good to hear! We weren't expecting the fishing booker reviews to be misleading or anything, just wanted some input not from a reviews board like that.

Either way, I'm bringing my rods and tackle to show Cary how it's done  :chuckle:  (just kidding)

My buddy is from Alabama though so I told him to bring his snow skiing gear for the AM lol

Honestly, the cheapest and most reliable method is to buy a cheap 50-60 qt cooler and take it as an extra checked bag.  I would take a roll of packing or duc tape to the airport, and wrap it a couple times when you check it in (sometimes they want to peak inside).  If the fish is frozen when you load it, it should still be when he gets home.  If not, use a few of the freezable ice packs to help keep it cold.  Regular ice and dry ice is not allowed.

Done it many times and never have an issue.

Good idea. Buddy is staying a couple more days in a hotel and I'm headed out of town tomorrow so didn't have much of a way to freeze and keep it to check as luggage.

He also wanted some black cod and halibut, so we went to Wild Salmon Seafood Market at Fisherman's Terminal. They vac sealed his coho, the purchased halibut and purchased black cod then packed it all up for him and we shipped it from the Station mailing center in the same parking lot. Buddy got a free Fedex label through work so that was huge. Overnight for the 28lb package would've been $500 :yike:

Went out with one of Cary's captains Sean today and caught our limit of coho. Back to the dock well in time for lunch at Chinooks after getting the fish packed and shipped. 10/10 for me, would recommend!
