CVA mr questions
« on: June 24, 2023, 08:53:05 AM »
Anyone have one? I’m interested in this rifle but I find conflicting information on its weight. If you have one what does it weigh? Also how do you like it?

I have a CVA Accura MR-X. On the funky scale we have here at home I come up with a weight of 8.25 to 8.5 pounds.  I like the rifle alot.  It has proven to be very accurate shooting the Hornady 290 grain Bore Driver bullets over 84 grains (weighed charge) of Blackhorn 209.  Hope this helps.

I have a CVA MR with an MR-X buttstock on it.

I am overall  happy with it, 3 animals in the freezer over the past two years.  Currently shooting federal Bore Locks at about 2MOA, hoping to play with powder and get it a bit more accurate.

Mine weighs 8.6lbs with the ebbco rail/rear peep sight, front hood sight, 3-9 scope, quick release steel rings, and stock pack.
You will never shoot a camp bull by spending all your time hunting in the woods.

I have an Optima V2 and I am very happy with it.  It takes the 209 primers and has proven to be more accurate than I am for sure.   Easy to clean and not to heavy to carry.  I am thinking about upgrading the sights.  Mine still has the factory fiber optic ones.

I love my Optima V2 except the factory sights are junk. Pretty light and a great trigger. Easy to clean.
