I Want Some Hawaiian Meat
« on: June 26, 2023, 11:20:08 PM »
There’s one thing I know for sure about my wife, if there’s a plane ticket involved, she’s going to be ready, early, and excited. So, I think a flight to Hawaii is in order for 2024 to coincide with some hunts and maybe some fishing. She’s perfectly capable of having fun on her own while I’m out trying to kill animals.

What recommendations do you have for modern season hunting in Hawaii?

Get in touch with a recommended Luau company ask them who gets their wild hogs for them. My son has a small red banana plantation on Kauai and has a buddy who catches them in traps made out of Cyclone fencing, and goes in a kills them with a knife. The locals can put you on some pork pretty easily.

I have always wanted to do an Axis deer hunt on the islands.  My dad did one back in the 70's

I hadn’t thought of hunting pigs since I don’t eat pork.

Try Hawaii Safaris on Maui.  I tried to book with them on a vacation but on short notice couldnt make it work. One reason is i didnt have my hunters ed card. At that time Hawaii required proof of hunters ed and a previous license didnt comply.  Might have changed though, its been a few yrs.  Goodluck.

I googled "deer hunting in hawaii" and got about 4 sites on Maui and one on Molokai. When I was on Molokai, not much in the way of tropical vacation amenities.......but the less visited and less developed nature of the island might be better for hunting.

No-he went over 40 years ago so i dont know who he went with.

I just grabbed a random site that had some details on the type of hunt.   Apologies I should have noted that.

In terms of good eating meat, it is very hard to beat axis deer.  They are delicious!

Ive always wanted to hunt deer on Lanai island.  Heard they are way over populated and easy to get a couple deer.

One day I will make it that way.
Right wing shooter, I aim for the left!!!

Nowhere in your incoherent rambling did you come close to what can be considered a rational thought. Everyone is now dumber having heard it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

I want to take my bird dogs, omg the birds! everywhere!

Thought I had an opportunity so I took my dogs and got the “Hawaii” package of shots and micro chips, you can skip the quarantine period with a little leg work now

There’s an issue with import of a firearm to Hawaii and registration

I would archery deer and goat though

“Turo” a car sharing app, can get you a hunting rig with roof top tent, coolers and some camping things
