I want less smoke. I’m not sure it makes sense saying that out loud. It’s the only way I’ll get to buy a nice new recteq

Got it plugged in and gave it a test run. As I expected going in, the combustion fan is bunk. Good news is they’re only $25 ish. Bad news is they’re completely out of stock everywhere including the manufacturer.

Dang it. Retrofit time. I am positive there is an ingenious redneck fix out there.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

What is the dimensions of the muffin fan. Post up a picture of what you are looking for.

4” on center screw holes. 110v and there’s a gasket where it mounts to the combustion chamber.

I get lucky now and then. I can pull a rabbit out of my hat now and then.

I ordered that one because I might be an idiot and not be able to figure out how to get the fan blade off of the existing motor. This one comes with new fan blades too.

I've found pellet brand makes a lot of difference in the amount of smoke and the flavor of the smoke. Traeger brand pellets seems to be the least smokey on all fronts.

My GMG has a 12v power supply inline with the cord.  Some folks have mounted this up in the control box making it look like the grill is powered 120v.  Is this the case with yours or is it really a 120v fan motor?
