I can pull a rabbit out of my hat now and then.I ordered that one because I might be an idiot and not be able to figure out how to get the fan blade off of the existing motor. This one comes with new fan blades too.https://www.supplyhouse.com/Supco-SM690C-Replacement-Utility-Motor-120VMy GMG has a 12v power supply inline with the cord. Some folks have mounted this up in the control box making it look like the grill is powered 120v. Is this the case with yours or is it really a 120v fan motor?

Josh, I have a Recteq and it smokes quite a bit on initial start up but when it’s up to temp it does not smoke much at all! If you open lid for extended time it will smoke while getting back up to temp and as the auger drops new pellets! I had a Traeger for 11 years and loved it, but this Recteq is Nice!
I want less smoke. I’m not sure it makes sense saying that out loud. It’s the only way I’ll get to buy a nice new recteq

Have you ever had any luck starting a wood fire with out some kind of smoke.
Got the fan motor Ridgeratt steered me to. Installed it today. Works like a champ. Have some chicken on it right now. We’ll see how it works. Thanks to the electrician for helping the dummy out and helping him to think outside the box.

But having watched the forum I have found that I really don't have anything beneficial to bring to the table. So I don't think I will be offering any more electrical suggestions. May you all find the answers you need. Just remember Google is your friend.RATTOUT !!!!
Thanks. I’ll get some. And I think this unit is definitely more than a few years old.I’ll get it out of the garage later and post a few pics. It’s just got a lot of baked on caked on crud and some rust on the outside.
