How big is this bear?

I have a few bears around my place, this one being the biggest.  Ant guesses on how big?

In my extremely amateur opinion, I'd say medium small. Legs look pretty long compared to his tummy and ears are more on top of his head. Still a shooter in my book! At least for tag #1. Great pics!

That is a pretty decent bear. Bigger than the average bear killed in wa each year for sure

I’ll say bigger that average. Not huge but not little. 175-200 pounds maybe.

I’ll say bigger that average. Not huge but not little. 175-200 pounds maybe.

My first guess was 200lbs.
If I need a permit and education to buy a firearm than women should need a permit and education  before getting an abortion.

Cant even be sure the first 2 pics are same bear let alone the 3rd pic.  Takes more angles and different lighting to be sure.

:yeah: you need a history of identifying marks or scars to know it's the same bear. The first bear looks like a boar to me with the sloped hips.

Very hard to tell,because it's not the same location.
Trail cam isn't on the same tree and distance to the camera is not the same between all three pics,pic 3 is not the same.
Pic three has a pond in the background.

So trying to use just size will be very difficult.

Bear are one of the toughest animals to field judge in my opinion.  They all look big till they are dead….then even the big ones look small. 

All that being said….the first picture would be a bear I would shoot no questions ask.  Average to above average.  Looks to me to be a 4-6 year old boar with long legs and still pretty skinny.  Even short legged sows can weigh way more than they look like they should based on head and overall size.   I try and pay attention to how low the belly is to the ground in comparison to their legs……and how wide and flat their backs are.  Can you balance a dinner plate on their back??….if so, they are fat.   

I’ve got pics of some short fat bears as well as pics of huge boars that have long legs that would otherwise make you think they aren’t that big / fat.
