Area 10 King this morning

I released this king out of area 10 this morning. It sure was a whole lot more fun than a coho. Photo doesn't do justice laying sideways. Full sized adult king. I love that *censored*. Got it on video but not thinking most people are going to watch 5 minutes of reeling in a fish

Fishing on the east side of ten was good this morning.  Two limits of small Coho (3 pounds?) and a nice 10-12 clipped King.  All in the upper part of the water column.  Going back tomorrow to catch that King again so I can keep it.

10 opens up on the 13..not the 12th 

I just looked on the Fish Washington app and noticed that.  So Thursday it is.  The app just says no retention of Chinook and Chum to June 1 to July 12.  There is no mention on the app of it opening July 13.  Is this 100% confirmed?  The amount of bait and fish we were marking reminded me of Neah Bay.  Getting that king today got me excited to get back out.

The thing with the app to be careful with is you can get in pamphlet mode which will often put you on the wrong side of legal.

Especially latecomers or early quitters hitting the launch about 8:45.

I imagine a pot or two might go for a ride as well.

The only good news is the pressure will be spread, it's open all the way up through 7.
