Mid Channel was a lot tougher fishing today. We fished 2 tide changes daylight to about 1:30pm. We did hook 2 fish early on but both came off quickly. Saw maybe 10-12 fish caught for 300+ boats. Fish checker said 1/2 a fish/boat when we came in. That seemed better than what I observed. Fish checker also said Thursday was much better. Good luck out there, tight lines!

So does that mean there is no Chinook retention for the east Elliot Bay opener this weekend? Or is that fishery still on for the posted dates 8/5-8/7?It says " Except east Elliot Bay and year round piers" but also states limit 2 release Chinook/chum.

If so, expect a major S-show
