Magnus Stingers and 4-fletch

Hello. The guy at the pro shop today told me that “rule of thumb” one should use 4-fletch arrows with 4-blade broadheads. I have 3-fletch arrows, and I’m switching from traditional 3-blade broadheads to magnus stingers with bleeders. So technically I’m switching to a 4-blade broadhead, but it’s really a 2-blade with tiny bleeders.

Any opinions on making the switch to 4-fletch? Definitely didn’t need 4-fletch with my 3-blades.

Sounds like the guy at the pro shop wanted to sell you some arrows. I am shooting large bleeders (3/4") just fine with a 3 fletch

Same here, they fly great with the standard Bohning Blazer 3 fletch for me.

I shot those broad heads w/ 3 fletch arrows for years. They fly great & go where you aim.

Thanks for the replies! This was at Nock Point. I usually trust those guys. I’m sure the 4-fletch arrows help a bit, but the list of things that might help a bit has no end 😁
