Now that Nile Valley Meats is closed, any other options close to the Naches area?

I would learn how to process your big game animals yourself.  It is not that hard to learn and not too much equipment to purchase.

No joke.  Went there once out of necessity because of hot weather and a time consuming packout.  guy started in on us immediately because of some very nit picky things. Kinda had no choice because we needed to get the meat cooled down.  Otherwise I would have headed down the road.

yeah, I’m pretty sure if people had a choice, they wouldn’t go there. My buddy once took a small cow in, legal animal, my buddy was pretty excited about his first kill.  The guy teased him and asked if he wiped the milk away from its lips, made him pretty mad but because of the heat in early archery, he had no choice.

Plan on a couple large empty coolers,  breakdown the animal in the field into quarters and bagged meat,  hang it and go get some ice!

It’s not far to head west over pyramid depending on where your hunting and you can take it to Olson’s in Enumclaw.

We’ve hunted the Nile/Little Naches for years. Larry was a good guy. Best jerky and pepper sticks around.

We were up there today and we think that Squaw Rock doesn’t use that cooler anymore.

Olson’s is a good idea.

I heard about a butcher in Selah?

Anyone else? Where do you take your elk for processing.

P.S. thanks for all the encouragement to process on our own. We have talked about it. Like a previous poster said, it’s nice to have somewhere close when you’re fighting the heat during early archery.
