With outfitter Ron Aldridge.  The area is called Day Harbor and is located S.E. of Seward, AK.

Great pics and stories.  I miss that place alot.  spent 4 summers on the west side in Veikoda Bay.  Spent 3 falls and 3 winters dragging the west side from Shuyak down to Karluk.  Lots of beautiful country.  seen a lot of big bears up in Uganik, Uyak and Veikoda Bays.  Gonna try and get back up there this Fall and do some blacktail hunting.  Did you mention where you do your guiding?  Thanks for [osting.  I enjoyed it!!!

Dad snapped this photo while on a fly-fishing trip to Kodiak. We always seem to bump into bears up in Alaska, and we're only fishing, not hunting! Take a fly rod, hike to a stream, play with the fish for a while and look around - there will be a bear someplace nearby!

I took these while fishing south of Cordova Alaska last September:

Bears, bears, bears... Alaska is chock full of 'em! Especially around the salmon streams...

Nice!  I hadn't seen the full pics yet - just those little ones you sent me on the phone.  Great hunt.

Carrie's out of town so I'll be doing some early scouting this weekend, by the way.
