As the deadline approaches for those to buy their drawn Multi tag, has anyone heard what the plan is for leftovers? Surely they can't *censored* it up as bad as last year?

So you've had that confirmed? They will do like 5 drawings in Aug with random dates and email notifications, then make the tag available a few days before late archery lol? Only the WDFW could dream that up.

I didn’t go through the debacle last year but am on the hunt this year. What was/is the process if someone doesn’t mind explaining? Post here or pm. Either works. I just would like to know what I’m up against

They notify a few people at a time, give them way too long to decide to buy it or not, and by the time they get down the list to the guy who has been dying to get it there’s two weeks left in later archery deer season. But hey you have a great opportunity to buy the multi season deer tag now! I’m really hoping for one too, well hoping for one before most of deer season is over anyways, but I know this new process is a crapshoot so I’m not keeping my fingers crossed.

I received a email into the first week of
November offering me a chance but by that point it’s too late.

I hope they have the first round of notifications ready to go on 8/1. No reason that they couldn't have that prepared and be on it. If I get a chance by early Sept I will buy it, after that...no thanks!

The entire multi-season process need to be changed. You should have to put the entire $140 up front, to weed out all the people that waste everyones time. They also need to move the buying date to June 30th. Then put leftovers on sale first come on July 1st. That would fix all the problems.
The new process is absolutely retarded. Clearly made up by someone who has never used a multi-season tag or hunted.

Sure hope I get an email prior to 9/1 because I really hope to be sitting in a deer stand that morning

I believe I got notified last year around 8/12 that I was able to go buy mine.

For those of you who did buy a leftover MS tag last year... Did you turn your tag into a license dealer and then purchase the MS tag from them? Or did you call wdfw and deal with them over the phone? Thought I remember seeing someone last year had to wait 14 days for wdfw to mail them the new tag.
