IP3 takes another run in Oregon...

It might be easy to conclude that this is just another extremist virtue-signaling symbolic effort, but I think it does underscore the reality that we hunters must work to promote a positive image of hunting to the 70 percent or so of the public who don't hunt but are accepting of legal and regulated hunting.

And fishermen and the ranching community are also under attack here. Didn't mean to gloss over that fact.

They are hiring, almost $20 an hour getting petitions signed.  They are only short about 90,000 with a year left to collect.  Should be a snap, set up in Portland.  This is the second attempt.

Learn the history of conservation and the North American Wildlife Conservation Model so you know how to talk to people who aren't aware of how hunting and fishing benefits wildlife. Non-hunters sometimes aren't aware of the dollars and thousands of volunteer hours that hunters and fishers spend each year to benefit habitat and balanced wildlife populations. Although licensed hunting has support of a majority of the population nationwide, the West coast has louder, extremist voices confusing non-hunters with lies and half-truths. Only through education can we expose the BS these radical groups are promoting.

Well, hopefully it will fail in the actual referendum.  I'd like to think enough Oregonians hunt, fish, eat meat, have farmer friends or families, like dairy in their coffee, etc., etc. to vote it down.
