Awesome color!
Thanks! Always confused for a second when I’m looking for a black bear and then a color phase walks out

Congrats, this is a beautiful bear. Hoping the heat wasnt too much of an issue, and you can enjoy all of the meat.
What country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon & pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants.

I haven’t read all of the posts just looking at the pictures. Has anyone used a call to call one in?
Little Pathfinder killed his bear last year (2022) with a call.
We tried it a couple of times this year but didn't get a response.  I think the right bear has to be in the right mood.  I also think smart, old bears circle you and try to catch your scent before coming in.  The bear he killed last year with the call wasn't real big.  He was also in a tree stand last year.  We were on the ground trying to call them this year.   :dunno:
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

That must have taken some considerable strength! Remind me never to get on little pathfinder’s bad side  :chuckle:

Wife got a nice bear yesterday. Measured 6’ 8” long. Skull still have flesh on it but it looks like it will be in that 19”-20” range. 227# gutted super skinny.

My first bear after 8 years of buying tags and only seeing three.

Every time I was in one spot, he’d show up on camera at my other spot. This went on for a few days. My mom said he must have had cams on me and decided to play with my mind. After seeing him on cams for a week while was away, coming back and playing cat and mouse for three days, I was mad at the bear. Yesterday I sat for half the day hoping to catch him in his pattern, and of course he deviated. I never saw him in person since he was at my other spot for a few minutes and there’s no way to get their quickly. Looking back through cams I saw he like to be in one spot regularly between 8am-9am. So on a few hours of sleep, I was there shortly after 6am. At 6:33am he took a 300WM 180gr Accubond to the heart and into a rear quarter that spun him 180 degrees, then he let out two death rattles. That was a sound I’ll never forget.
