Two in a month in the same area doesn't seem too rare to me.

I believe in the 10-2-10 defense. I'm not to keen on laying there playing dead while a bear takes out his aggressions.

Amazed they are no longer interested in finding either bear.....

I always thought a bear that killed a human was hunted and removed  :dunno:
We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.

Tree huggers put a higher value on the bears life than human life. That's why they recommend bear spray and playing dead. No harm to the bears and  luck of the draw for us humans.

Interesting. I ran into 3 grizzlies including this one a bit west of Dubois last fall.
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.

Yup that's the truth there.

Everybody should have a number.
That number is how many yards away before you shoot.
I can't tell you what your number is. Only you know.
But that number is any aggressive animal gets that close you shoot and walk away like another Monday. :chuckle:

Heading over to that general area with an elk tag this fall. Seems to have been a hot hed of bear attacks the last few years. Have family in the area (Moran) that see bears regularly in and around their house.

That bear has skills.
The way his pads are levitating above the grass in that shopped picture is really impressive.
Thing might be a UFO.
