Probably best to turn it over to Leo...They can find the owner allot easier...and it could very easily be stolen or evidence...
Evidence to prove what? Highly unlikely any criminal case will ever develop or have some substantial revelation. What would LE do with it? Post it as you have. No takers, enjoy your new gun.
bSeveral years ago I found a very high end AR at a local shooting area. I turned it into the Sheriff dept and it was reported lost right after I dropped it off. The owner picked it up shortly after and also contacted me that evening to thank me. He also came out to meet me the next day and gave me a Thankyou card and a fifth or very expensive booze. When I opened the card there was $300.00 in it and when I tried to refuse it he would not take no for an answer. The bottle still sets in my cupboard.
Isn’t it only like 6 months and if nobody claims it it’s yours? I’d want to get to back to whoever owns it or start that clock ASAP.
