Importing game to Washington
« on: September 02, 2023, 08:11:02 AM »
Does anyone know the reason why you are required to notify the WDFW within 10 days of importing a cougar or bear harvested in another state?

https://app.leg.wa.gov/wac/default.aspx?cite=220-413-030#:~:text=(1)%20It%20is%20unlawful%3A,the%20carcass%20or%20edible%20parts.

I understand their reason for deboning deer and other species because of CWD but I’m drawing a blank on the reason for bear and cougars.
