My nephew was robbed
« on: September 21, 2021, 07:53:37 AM »
They got him for 2 fairly distinctive guns. One is a Weatherby Vangaurd in 7mm-08, black/synthetic. I believe it to be a youth model, it has a fairly short barrel, had a braided 550 cord sling. The other is a Browning Buckmark .22 NWTF edition. Stolen in Lewiston. They got him for a few other items as well. If you are in the area and see something like these, please give me a heads up.

:bash:  I have cousins in Lewiston, I’ll copy and paste this to them. But they are as far away as you can get from shady people as you can get.

Thieves suck.  I hope your nephew gets his stuff back.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Every father should remember that one day his children will follow his example instead of his advice.

Burglarized or Robbed? If robbed, let's get a description of the creep?

Good point. Was it physically taken from him by force or was his home broken into? That could make a huge difference on detective response as well. In any event, hope he gets his guns back.

Good question, his house was broken into while he was in Pendleton volunteering at the Roundup. At this point, he has not gotten his stuff back and last I heard, he gets no call backs when he calls asking for any update.

I had a rifle stolen from my pickup in 2004. In 2014 I got it back! It was found in a drug raid and because I filed a police report it was returned to me. That's a long time to wait and with no guarantee but it could re-appear at some point.

Although, in Oregon drugs aren't illegal anymore so it's unlikely to be recovered from a drug bust.

Had a Glock 9mm stolen and recovered 2 years later in California in a drug seizure/bust. Crazier things happen. Gun stolen in Skagit county WA. I don't carry it anymore, just sits in the safe since it got royally *cendored*up by grind marks in half ass attempts to get rid of the serial number. I'd love 5 minutes alone withe the *censored* that stole it......
