If you have some Does kickin around, and you want to hunt bigger bucks in the rut, I'd wait to smoke a doe until after you fill that buck tag.

No better Big Buck lure than a doe in heat during the rut.  Let those ladies bring a buck in for you.

Yeah I was thinking about this. Definitely one less doe in the area to bring in a buck. But I am happy to have it in the freezer early. We will see how this October goes. Next time I have a second deer tag I will probably wait until after I bag a buck to take my doe. I have been pretty worried about both of my tags going to waste this year so now that I have one filled the pressure is off.
