Heading in with my son for another year in the wilderness.goal used to be get an animal now its just make it in. Getting old sucks. Been dealing with foot and knee issues.him and his brother hauled most of my gear in already.
Looking forward to seeing some beautiful country and lose the city for a while. Good luck all you High hunters.

I should have started doing this hunt when I was younger, but it's difficult to get away with young kids. I'm only 49, but I can tell parts are starting to wear now.

Was just thinking how quiet it has been this year on here for the high hunt.  I would expect that some pics and reports should start popping up soon.  I'm sitting it out this year, headed to Wyoming instead. :)

And the "extended" warrantee sucks even worse.   :chuckle:

One does not hunt in order to kill; on the contrary, one kills in order to have hunted. If one were to present the sportsman with the death of the animal as a gift he would refuse it. What he is after is having to win it, to conquer the surly brute through his own effort and skill with all the extras that this carries with it: the immersion in the countryside, the healthfulness of the exercise, the distraction from his job. ~ Jose Ortega y Gasset

Tell me about it.  I just turned 57 yesterday.  I feel the pain.
