This just in from Spokane!!
« on: September 17, 2023, 10:32:06 AM »
This was on the next-door web site in Spokane. Perhaps she was over estimating the size of this.

Very large, cougar just spotted five minutes ago in my backyard on my property. I am concerned because it was rather large. It seemed to show no fear from my three large dogs. Thank God there was a gate and I was able to corral my animals inside 911. Doesn’t want to even do anything about it, they wanted me too wait and watch for it and call them back if it seems to be aggressive and or is looking as if it is going to attack a animal or human. The police can’t even respond to a wild animal that is twice the size of my, 130 pound pitbull scary I was able to round up my dogs and to safety in the house. I was told to call scraps. Since it was a unwanted animal on my property, I could just see it now I doubt the dog catcher is going to wrestle a cougar with just a pole.
Be safe stay inside and keep your animals in.

There are simply too many cats in this state, doesn't matter which side you're on. Regardless, a 260 lb cat would be very impressive as I don't think I have ever heard of or seen one that big.

Let's see them, I'm having a hard time believing there is a 260 lb cat roaming the streets of Spokane.

They had recent fires ,north and south of Spokane.
Which could of pushed animals, condensed animals to other areas around town.
And it's just the "classic" deal too.
Deer ,pets,livestock,ect,ect close to town.
Predator not far behind.

Lol! I know a guy who had a cat like that once that was so fat it couldn't lick its back or scratch it so it had this matte of hair on its back one spring where it shed out but couldn't get that patch off so it looked like it had a turtle shell! It was hilarious! It was a super energetic cat too and would run and jump up the trunk of trees and leap out of the tree but it just was soooo fat! Lol

Back on track, I guess I've never heard of a cat that big up here. Apparently Arizona gets some hogs.

I doubt any cougar weighs in at over 250 pounds.
200 pounds yes but 250 is no..

Well she did her part.

A 30 06 size hole is a reasonable follow up.

Bet she gets a response than.

I'm actually surprised that wasn't the result. I've got kids in my neighborhood and I wouldn't be worried what folks though about blasting one. Fortunately I don't live in city limits but not sure that would matter.
