Sighting in issues with new CVA ACCURA LR-X
« on: September 17, 2023, 04:16:32 PM »
Hey folks. I recently purchased a new CVA ACCURA LR-X for my son. Took it to the range yesterday and out of the box it was shooting extremely low. It came with a williams peep sight. I ended up adjusting the sight as high as it would go and still shooting 2 inches low at 25 yards... Any advice or suggestions??? I ordered the Williams front globe sight but dont think that will help with the peep sight being so far off.

Call cva with what’s going on , they had a lot of these problems as the front sight is too low , im guessing still the issue
Buy the Williams peep with the front fiber optic globe NOT the one with all the different inserts and you’ll be shooting proper

I bought the the same muzzy without the sites and put the western precision on it....no problems.  I also put this picatinny rail on it which moves the peep sight further back, making it easier for me to shoot.  My wife's uncle has the same set up which is what I copied and love.

I’m running an LR-X and initially had similar issues. I now run the Williams western precision globe with fiber optic insert and a Williams FP adjustable rear peep and am very happy with it. The western precision rear worked as well but I wanted the ability to adjust for slightly longer shots with more precision then a hold over.

I have the same rifle, the front sight that comes with it is .500 and you need a lower front sight say around .410 or so.
