OK, now I have to ask are you shooting a real Smokepole or one of them man-bun-guns with a 209 primer :chuckle:? Over the years I've harvested 3 elk and 6 deer with my old side lock.  :)

Man bun? You know darn well I don’t grow enough grass on my head anymore for a man bun  :chuckle:  But yep, I shoot a new fangled Traditions Strikefire with the 209 primers. Damn thing is pretty darn accurate. I’m hoping to test its “effectiveness” on a stinky bull this year.

BTW, 3 elk and 6 deer with a primitive smokepole is damn respectable. I’m gonna try to hold off with my multi season deer tag and dump a BT with my Strikefire….only if I don’t have a good modern shot at a nice buckasaurus  ;)
