Mission quality elk muzzy
« on: October 02, 2023, 08:48:14 AM »
Any tips for this unit? Bulls have gone silent.  My wife has one of the tags and it’s been a ghost town.

get just above the orchards in Dryden by dropping down from peshastin. It can be a bit of a ruck but there are plenty of bulls there. Had some growers show me some pics of some dandy bulls on public land back there last week.

She got it done! We ended up with a decent 6 point mid season. We had a really good bull spotted and then we ended up calling our way into the middle of 3 bulls and a bunch of cows and her bull came screaming down the hill to 40 yards and she smacked him in the lungs. Once we found the bulls we were in them pretty much all day. We were hoping for a monster but she’s 5 months pregnant and I told her if we make it to day 5 she can shoot whatever bull she’s happy with.

That is awesome, this hunt can be very challenging and puts a lot of pressure on the tag holders and friends, contrary to popular belief there is not a giant bull behind every tree wanting to be shot!

Congrats to her and your crew! Good to meet you on the hill and chat. Small world and always seem to meet good people when hunters will stop and chat when driving by.

Congrats. Can't wait to see what she got.
Waiting impatiently for pics
