Sweet, they are fun to hunt and taste amazing.
They are fun to hunt and I love to hunt them. But to say they taste amazing is a big stretch!  Good for pepperoni sticks and jerky. Ive shot my share of them over the years and have cooled them down quickly but they are still fair at best. They make mule deer taste amazing.  :twocents:  By the way, Great looking goats!!!  Fun times for sure!!!

We went on our first antelope hunt last year, and have to agree that they are great table fare. I would put them between elk and deer. The whole family thought it was amazing. I have a neighbor that thinks like you too though. Had it 40 years ago, hated it, and hasn't touched it since. I think you either love it or hate it. Just curious, how did you prepare it?

I shot my first in Colorado last weekend and cooked some up last night. It was my second time eating antelope and both times I thought it tasted just like a young whitetail. Pretty good stuff!

I’d guess all game tastes different. Shot placement, adrenaline, feed, cooling all have affects? Ive shot some sage mule deer I thought wouldn’t be good but was some of the best. The handful of cantaloupe I shot in Montana were all good, I gave some to a non hunter and he wanted more. Steaks are sautéed rare to med rare.
