Paper Study Guide for Hunters Ed?
« on: July 26, 2023, 08:42:26 AM »
I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a paper version/book to study the WDFW Hunters Safety course? My daughter will be 8 next year and is dying to start hunting with me. I've been scouring the web the last couple days but no luck or I'm blind. I see the online version of the study guide but I'd prefer for this to be "off screen" education. Does anyone know if perhaps WDFW offices have a study guide available to pickup? Any info is appreciated! Thanks.

I know they handed them out at the actual class…I’m sure we have some instructors on he that could help you. If not I would call your local office. In the mean time I see if my son kept his. He keep’s everything hunting related. Good luck 👍🏻

I'm not aware of a study guide. If you referring to the course manuals passed out in traditional courses, they are normally reserved for students. If you know an instructor he might be able to get you one. You could try your local WDFW office and they might be able to get one for you also.

Call Olympia office, ask for Hunter Ed unit. Make a request.

Fastest solution.

My local sporting goods has them next to the Hunting and Fishing rule booklets. If you can't locate one, I'll be glad to pick one up and mail it to you. (Used to be a Hunter Ed instuctor)

Thanks for all the info and recommendations guys   Going to stop by some stores this week and if no luck, the WDFW office here as well.

Just trying to decide the best route to go. The Traditional Classroom Courses are very few and far between in my area according the WDFW calendars, where as the Field Skills Evaluation Class takes place what looks to be monthly in Spokane.

Was hoping there is a hard copy version of this https://www.hunter-ed.com/washington/studyGuide/20105004/ that I can get from WDFW. Anyways, thanks again I'll get in contact with WDFW.

Oldguy if I come up short I'll be in contact, thank you very much for the offer!
