I really don’t think one can say a hunter caused this being elk just went thru the rut. He could have sustained his injury due to the rut.

The pics don’t show any evidence of what the problem is.

Possibly caused by rut activity…possibly had covid…or possibly someone lost a bull.

That's a weird one. Doesn't look that old. I would think if it was rut or hunter related you'd think you'd see something.

They watched it die. They are non hunters but said there was a “bullet hole” in its hind quarters.

Well until they dig a slug out who knows, possibly a puncture wound from the rut.

Being it is in water,(if this is where I beleive it is) always a possibility it was hit by a vehicle.

If anyone lost a colockum bull… I found one too… judging by the age of the carcass it died around archery season. Yes it could have been a cougar or natural causes but it was in a popular area. Send me a pm with the location and how many points it had and I can send you a waypoint.

If it was lost by a hunter, hopefully they can be reconnected with their trophy. Sure is a nice bull.

What a weird thread. d_wilson posted that someone found a dying bull and asked if anybody lost one.
