Absolutely agree with xxx, shot placement is the most critical factor.  I have killed elk with a lot less that what I am shooting now.  I like a heavy arrow over a fast arrow.  Think of it this way.  A baseball thrown at 50 mph will do more damage to a batters head than a ping pong ball thrown at 100 mph.  expecially when you start looking at longer range shots???  Just my  :twocents:

thats true jrebel but thats like a 150 grain arrow vs 600 grain arrow as you see in my post I could add 14fps and only lose .5 ft/lbs of engery..at some point it goes the wrong way I feel if you keep your arrow to 375 to 450 grains is good for hunting at the right lbs .and yes it better to be on the heavy side.

Again I absolutely agree with you.  Just trying to put the answer in non technical terms so new archers can relate.  A 2000 lb boulder will do you no good if you cant lift and throw it.....

I am glad i will only loose 2-4 fps with the tubing because my peep i have now is making me crazy.Once again thanks for the info.I am looking forward to using it this season.

I found a new way I went and put money down on a new bow.A little more expensive.but i really liked the martin bengal

I am normally a rifle hunter but the last few yrs have been spent with my girls hunting rifle so i thought i would try bow hunting this comming yr and yes i am hooked bad and i have not even shot at a animal with it yet
