My daughter put the smack down on him this morning.  Saw a spike with a doe, this guy was with 2 does.  Neck swollen and stinky.  It's on y'all.

One spike on the tail gate is worth ten in monsters in the woods!

The rut was on.  Shot this buck frontal but I guess I clipped him.  20 min go by, I was standing and listened for any deer movement.  All of a sudden, a doe pops up about 25 yards away.   N this buck I clipped come out running chasing her.   They took off, less then a min, here they come again. Doe runs left broadside an here’s the buck nose to the ground.  I tryed to stop him an he wouldn’t. So I shot im on the go.   The Lord blessed me again!!

The rut does crazy things to bucks!

I'm taking my boy out tomorrow morning for a short little morning hunt and then going out solo for an evening hunt on Sunday. With the clear skies and full moon, are bucks going to be bedded all day this weekend? I can't hunt Halloween but will be out every day of late season.

Wife and I are on Whidbey Island for the weekend. Hunted today and the only deer we saw was a doe, which she shot. Had another doe come in while we were taking care of the first one, but no bucks seen. No rut action so far.
